About Us

Saying our final goodbyes to our beloved pets is a heartbreaking reality of allowing these
beautiful souls into our lives. Here at Angel Wings, we understand this pain on a deep and
personal level. We are Scott and Lorrie Smith, and we have spent more than eighteen years opening our hearts and our home to animals in need and have held many as they passed...through our tears...from this life. We are here to comfort and help you as you move through this process, and guide you through this difficult time. We are painfully aware of the rawness of this moment, which is why we take the trust you are placing in us so very seriously. It is our heart’s true passion and life’s mission to ensure that all animals are treated with love and respect throughout their time on this earth. We are honored to lead your pet down their final path with the dignity they deserve. This is our heartfelt promise to you both.

How do I know I am getting my own pet’s ashes back?

We get it. We have asked this question ourselves in the past with our own pets and is part of the reason for the development of Angel Wings. From the moment your pet is in our possession, they will be assigned a metal identification tag. This tag will not leave your pet at ANY time, and will be returned to you with the cremains (ashes) to ensure every pet returns home.

What types of cremations do you offer?

We offer two types of cremation services.

PRIVATE, which means only your pet. This is the option for anyone wanting to receive their pet’s cremains back. All private cremations are returned in a scatter box. We also have a large selection of urns, jewelry, and keepsakes to choose from.

COMMUNITY, which is more than one animal and cremains cannot be offered back.
This option is no less respectful to the animal. Some people find it comforting to know that their pet was not alone through this process. As a final act of respect for your pet, all unclaimed cremains will be scattered at our twenty-acre animal sanctuary.

How do I get my pet to you?

We offer three options to make this step easier for you. We can pick your pet up from your vet’s office or from your home (for a small fee) or you are more than welcome to bring him/her to us yourself. With respect to other grieving families, this last option is by appointment only. We offer return delivery of cremains to place of pick up at no extra cost.
